We’re hiring!

Quotidian Ventures is seeking a full time PR expert to join our team!

About Quotidian:

Quotidian Ventures is a seed stage fund founded in NYC in 2010 by Pedro Torres Picón. Our passion is helping founders create technology products that modernize large industries in which they have deep domain expertise. Whether the entrepreneur has a technical background or not, we provide the resources and hands on support needed to allow him or her to make the difficult transition from industry expert to internet entrepreneur.

About the Role:

  • You’ll be working directly with a rotating group of 5-8 portfolio companies at a given time to:
  • Develop creative strategies around launches and events
  • Pro-actively seek out speaking opportunities for Quotidian and our portfolio companies, and keep founders involved in relevant industry conversations via event appearances, press mentions, blogging, etc.
  • Write and refine press pitches with founders
  • Provide PR to Quotidian and the Quotidian Team
  • Include Quotidian in press efforts for portfolio companies when appropriate
  • Promote Quotidian events and appearances
  • Maintain relationships with industry writers and keep them in the loop on Quotidian happenings

About You:
You should have:

  • Two or three years of experience in a NYC tech PR firm or similar position at a leading NYC startup.
  • Awesome networking skills and strong relationships in place at tech and mainstream publications.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling abilities, proven success in writing press releases and pitch letters.
  • Strong press network in other vertical markets is a plus. Our companies span a wide range of industries, so you’ll also need to build relationships in a number of b2b and consumer facing markets (ie. Real estate, construction, home services).
  • The ability to manage scheduling and billing relationships for the companies you consult with.
  • A results driven work style - this position will be benchmarked on the success of campaigns, not on billable hours.
  • Love for being plugged into the NY tech community.

How to Apply:
Show don’t tell. In addition to your resume or LinkedIn, we’d love to see case studies of successful campaigns you’ve created and implemented and clients who you’ve handled in the past. Please share your social presence with us: LinkedIn, Twitter, blog, etc.

Get in touch at hi@quotidian.co.

Nestio raises $1.5M in financing, launches Nestio Listings

Before ever meeting Caren and the team, I used Nestio to find my first apartment in NYC. Two years later, I find myself having spent the last year and a half working side by side with Nestio, where my team and I have had the pleasure of seeing first hand their everyday hustle and dedication to the problem they are solving.

Quotidian was an early believer in the Nestio vision. Pedro met Caren and the team right after Techstars in 2011 and was quickly intrigued by the potential in both the team and the product, which at that time was solely focused on making the process of finding and renting apartments easier for renters. Nestio for renters is a tool for discovering, tracking, and sharing apartment listings with roommates and brokers.

After years of talking to stakeholders throughout the real estate industry, it became clear that in order to solve the issues that landlords, brokers, and renters were experiencing, they’d need to bring technology to the root of the problem. Just weeks ago, Nestio launched the first real-time database for landlords and brokers - a product that truly gets to the heart of the issue by improving the accuracy and relevancy of real estate listings across the web. They launched with an impressive 15% of the NYC landlord market already using and loving the product.

I’m thrilled to congratulate Nestio on raising $1.5mm from a group of leading angels, institutional investors, and industry insiders, and am proud to say Quotidian is included among them.

Quotidian looks for founders with unique ties to their markets which have been underserved by technology. Real estate poses an exciting challenge and I’m thrilled to see Nestio drilling deeper into the market to uncover a huge opportunity on the landlord/broker side. Very excited to see what’s next for them.
